Pilot → Production

Diagnose whether a pilot is tech tourism or a real path to production.

Is there a named business owner (not just “the innovation team”)?

Is there a measurable success metric tied to revenue, risk, or cost?

Is there budget and capacity beyond the pilot (people + run)?

Are production data issues (quality, access, privacy) resolved?

Did security/IAM review the path to production (not only the demo)?

Does ops know who is paged, with a runbook and incident channel?

Are there SLOs/error budgets or at least explicit RTO/RPO?

Can you safely roll back or degrade if it fails?

Are real users in the pilot (not only internal stakeholders)?

Is there a go/no-go date with written kill-or-scale criteria?
